seems like just yesterday

This time last year I was in such a different place! I can't believe how far I've come. Life is goin so well it's scary, but I gotta ride the good times with the bad.

Now onto more important things. Our country has been hit by hurricane katrina, and millions are displaced, mistreated, and neglected. It's great to hear of people donating money, but the donations need to keep coming after the initial shock. What about providing clothes, food, water, comfort? I'm tired of hearing people talk and talk and offer opinions. It's time to start walkin the walk. For rappers, actors, musicians to donate money and other important goods. It's time for the government to get their weight up....and KEEP it up. This isn't the time for political correctness, it's time for the truth. They're not refugees, they're PEOPLE. They're not looting, they're fighting for SURVIVAL.

I don't have the money to give, but I have one thing I know will be needed: blood. We all can donate blood, especially those of us who are O+(universal donor). If my blood can help save lives, then i'll gladly give it. I have tons of clothes in my closet that I don't wear. I may be young, but I'll try regardless.

We all need to try. If we can helo millions of people on the other side of the world, surely we can help our own citizens
